This will be me on Saturday morning.
The fishing opener is like Christmas. I feel that same excitement and anticipation that I used to feel as a child waiting for Santa.
We leave for our annual fishing opener trip in a few days. I’ve been prepping the boat, prepping my equipment, packing, checking the weather reports, checking the fishing reports, water conditions, …you name it, I’ve been checking it. Come Saturday AM I will have slept little and yet be wide awake. At sunrise the peaceful sounds of the first casts of the season are soon replaced by the beautiful cries of “Fish on!”
It’s my favorite time of year.
